Lau Lau is luau leaves wrapped around butterfish and meat and/or vegetables, then steamed until tender. It's the Hawaiian-style stuffed cabbage.
Preparation: Thaw on the countertop or in the microwave (usually two minutes for one lau lau). Reheat the lau lau in the microwave for 3 minutes each or use a double broiler or chafing dishes with sterno flames (these seem to work the best) and steam for 15-20 minutes. Storage Instructions: Place in a sealed container or plastic bag and keep refrigerated. 45-day shelf life chilled and six months frozen.
